Learning & Camaraderie

The day started with a morning swim in the coral-rich waters of Costa Marina. Then, the participants convened at the shore for a talk the National Plan on Climate Change and Watershed Protection, facilitated by Mr. Efren Tagorda, Ecosystems Management Specialist II of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Region XI.

It was followed by a talk by Mr. Amiel Lopez, Co-founder of DYESABEL Philippines, on Earth Leadership, which tackled how to initiate, lead, and maintain environmental advocacies.

Evaluation

The participants learned from the technical and personal perspectives of dealing with climate change and how the key points from the past sessions can be applied in their future environmental advocacy. Everyone enjoyed their experience and gained new friends during the sanctuary visit. Ultimately, the delegates were ready to prepare their project proposals for Phase 3 of Climate Gen Philippines.
