This Carbon Credit and Climate Change led by Mr. Yeang Donal was on Sunday, 19th November 2023 and Saturday, 27th January 2024. Mr. Yeang Donal, has over 20 years of field experience in forestry, natural resource management, and climate change, especially Reducing Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation (REDD+). The speaker focused on the technical aspects of Cambodia's potential participation in the voluntary carbon offset market, specifically addressing carbon measurement methodologies and payment calculations associated with forest protection initiatives.

What do our members think about this session?

I was introduced to the various projects that aim to prevent deforestation. It is really intriguing to find out that we can generate money from protecting the forest. It is also hopeful to know that some big companies still care about the environment, even though some of them are big polluters.
